[pct-l] Failures of: Camlbak All Clear & Vario Water Filter

I personally have not had experience with the Steri-Pen, however, I have had multiple hikers tell me that theirs failed as yours did. One guy said his was sitting in his garage ready to tossout. 
I have used the Vario water filter and I can tell you that I've had trouble with it leaking as othershave also whom I have read online. So, I wouldn't recommend that as a filter. It leaks from aroundthe piston cap so the contaminated water dribbles down over your hand and water bladder or bottle.Replacing the "O" rings with the manufacturer approved lube did not stop the leaking. This leakageoccurred from the first use.
