I am sorta the anti-normal of how I helped get rid of the PF I was dealing
with. I went with almost zero drop minimalist trail running shoes and cheap
think flip flops.

I really like the Merrell Moab Ventilator boots I was wearing, but one day
my feet starting hurting, and nothing I did stopped the pain for more than
a couple of weeks.

I heard about a book "Born to Run", about the Tarahumara indigenous people
of Northern Mexico. The don't wear modern shoes. The live simple lives.
They also don't have foot problems. I know this is a very simplistic
overview of the book, but if you are simply interested on well written
books about barely known cultures and what we might be able to learn from
them, check it out.

I'd walk around barefoot all day if I could keep my feet clean. I met a guy
that walks almost everywhere barefoot. I won't even begin to describe his
feet. I could sum it up as "heavily callused and cracked hobbit feet" I
guess. There may be ways to have a completely barefoot lifestyle, but if
there is one that avoids what I saw on this guy, it would be the way to go
for me.

This is my own personal experience and opinion only. I am not a medical
professional. I am not a professional anything. Check with medical
professionals as they really do know more about it than you likely do. I
have a friend that is a podiatrist, and I know he's smart because he won't
treat his friends unless it's pretty much an emergency, especially me. :)
