[pct-l] Food protection in Southern CA

Prior to the bear can requirements in the Sierras, what is a recommended
food protection system in Southern California? I have an Ursack S29 (no
metal liner), 12.5 x 20 inch Loksaks for odor retention (fits in the
Ursack), and a cuben fiber roll-top stuff sack for additional food hanging
if necessary. How about just keeping the food with me in Loksaks under my
tarp? Thoughts?
