Hi,

I remember a couple - appropriately named 'The Goat People' - who tried to
thru-hike with a goat in roughly 2005.  They were forced to hike south - 18
miles! - out of a national park in California as goats did not meet 'stock'
criteria.

Hey guys,

We are doing the thru hike on the PCT next year and we want to take a couple
of goats with us. Anyone have advice on doing this...where to get some
goats, previous experience doing it...things like that.
