Subject: [pct-l] Looking for a river

Can any of you think of a lake or river near Mono Hot Spriings that was shaped like a snake bending" every which way", through a "very big" meadow?
It is to this area that that a friend wants to return for her "bucket list back packing trip". She wants to pack a canoe in to it. It is not a fast flowing river, The water was crystal clear and somewhat still. Anyone know about it?
