According to live posts on FB, there are a small group who have cleared the
first two passes. The going is doable, but rough.

Others are still in KM.

According to the FB posts, there appears to be no realistic CA section
north of KM, though many are easier than the high Sierras.

I just finished an excellent section hike from Campo to Walker Pass. I met a
number of hikers who said they were planning to go north to Ashland or
Chester or Donner Pass and then go south. Others said that didn't make sense
because those people would still encounter lots of snow, especially those
going to Donner.
Some others were leaving the trail at KM or WP for a few weeks, eg one guy
to attend his graduation in SL Obispo and another guy to work in LA, then
planned to resume northbound from where they left.
Many were planning to keep going into the Sierras, including some who
admitted they had no ice ax or crampons or microspikes - even after I told
them the trail angel who gave me a ride back to the pct from mojave said the
sierras just got three more feet of snow ...
There might be hikers already in the sierras but I personally dont know of
any. I'm glad I hiked the sierras last summer.
