I guess we hike for a variety of reasons.  I think a number of the hikers
I've met have been drawn to the adventure. Yes it is great to see nature
and hike but next year many of these people could be doing and adventure
like hitchhiking across China or sailing across an ocean. Anyway, I saw
this article in the NYT about Journeymen in Europe and I thought I'd pass
it on
