<div>Big Cat and Beef Stew left on what I considered to be an ill-advised attempt to hike the actual PCT out of Harts Pass heading northwards yesterday middday with snowshoes. I, for one, am pretty worried about these two- Big Cat could not be dissuaded from attempting the actual trail. I'll post any news I hear of them and I trust others will do the same.

His was the group in the "turned back from Cutthroat Pass" pictures that took an alternate route up HWY 20 and along the edge of Ross Lake to the border, where they were met by friends (bless you!) who were driving them back up through Canada and around to the US. Chuckwagon, Blazer, Dalton, Chigger, Hotpocket and Bloodhound were with Guts and were returning to the US and were on their way to Seattle. Scout and Frodo had other transport back. Mr. D, Figaro, Lotto, and DiscoDan did not take the alternate route but no one was going to try over the PCT, so I assume they ended their trek. I know Mr. D hitched to Manning and hiked back down the trail to the border
crossing. The group knew that T-Tree, Nafta, Mr. Pink and Miso has made it thru; Mr. Pink and Miso were apparently the last to get thru on the PCT itself. They knew Cloudspotter and Big Cat and some others were contemplating the alternate route, but had not seen them. All were tired but happy, and glad to hear Nadine and Chris were okay. Thanks to all who emailed/posted info. I have enjoyed all the info on this list over the last 5 months, and love reading the trail journals and the pictures. God Bless and I pray everyone still out gets back safely.
