<DIV>I am truly afraid this will take on a life of its own and could lead to one
of this Lists many on going, long winded events. THAT IS NOT WHAT I INTEND. But,
I do have a question. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>What is the forum/list etiquette on posting "conversations" publicly?
When you speak to a list member <STRONG>off line</STRONG>, i.e., their personal
address, should you be able to expect it would stay private? When you post
anything on line of course you open yourself up to everyone anyone on this
list.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I am troubled by two such issues within 24 hours. One was a
result of something I said to someone on their personal site; the conversation
originated with me, <STRONG>off line</STRONG>. They chose to respond
<STRONG>on line</STRONG>. The second was whereby I made a comment on line that
bothered someone who wrote the list with a copy to me. I responded
<STRONG>just to the sender</STRONG>, no copy to the list. That person then
posted the conversation on the list.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>What should I expect (if anything) when writing, off line, to someone
with a relationship to this list?</DIV>
