<div>here area couple of links to some great light weight tripods for you photographer that are planning your thru hikes, both are in the 1.5 lb range,and offer some height to get your camera up off the ground,dont listen to what anyone says about choosing between hiking and photography, with all the choices out there its easy to do both. get the base weight down enough to make room for that extra 3 lbs or so of gear you need to capture some great images. with one of these tripods and my DSLR im right at 3 lbs
