Living here in WA, I hike the North Cascades all summer long in trail
running shoes, 907's actually, so trail shoes should be fine in the
North Cascades if you're on trails. Of course, that depends on the time
of year. Mid-July thru mid-September most years, the trails are free
of snow. Many years, there's no snow till mid-October or later. This
year was an exception. Snow came early and never left.<br>
