<DIV>Well they may now once they realize there's atleast one 40 mile section
where it's required. At one point, a PCT hiker could hike through the
Sierras and avoid bear canister required areas. I'm not sure if that
still hold true, but if it does, a worst case scenrio would be to pick up a
canister in TM heading north.</DIV>
