I'm wondering why you're going north to south since most thru-hikers go
in the other direction because a southbound hike generally doesn't
start till late June or early July due to heavy snowpack in
Washington's mountains.<br>

When do you plan to begin your hike?<br>
<br>
L-Rod is correct, there's no border checkpoint on the trail at the
Canadian/US border. You're deep in the wilderness at that point, all
that's there is a border monument to mark the border.<br>
