You are correct PCT Mom. And, as SB mentioned, an umbrella has many other uses. Since Chris's SAR rescue experience, I chose a bright red/ orange Senz umbrella to carry, rather than a beige one. I'll apply the Mylar to the top, and the bright color of the inside could be used to help locate me in the unlikely event of an emergency. He really got me thinking about that. The Senz mini folds down to 11 inches and weighs 10 0z.
