carried a little pot the was used as a fire pit. It was modified slightly so he
could set the cook pot on top and not put out the fire. He would gather a few
twigs and sticks, just enough to cook his meal, which to my surprise did not
take much. He never had any trouble finding fuel!</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV>I'm thinking about taking a small woodstove on my thru this
year. Is this feasable? I haven't done much desert hiking, and
didn't know if I could expect to find dry brush to use as fuel to rely on
every night to cook with. It would be nice to have a tiny fire every
night to cook on, leave no fire scars, and not worry about buying and carrying
HEET. <BR>
