In High School I had a red Pontiac Catalina with a GM V-8. A real car. Made of metal. We got it up to 118 on Hwy 400 north of Atlanta. You could hear the gas being sucked in. It was a BEAUTIFUL car.

Hehehe. Nice memories. In 1978 I was driving to a job interview at Polaroid and
I was pulled over for speeding. I had my older brother's 1952 Rocket V-8
Oldsmobile! One of the first cars with a hydramatic transmission if I remember
correctly. This one had a quad carb in it,so it flew and it certainly gulped the
gasoline, which at the time was averaging 60 cents/gallon. --RD
