And let us remember that the original name was Remembrance Day. The
11th hour of the 11th month of the 11th day of every year. In honor of
the treaty of Versailles, which ended WWI (the war to end all wars.)

The original intent was to honor the dead from all sides in all wars.
Therefore, if you wish a vet, "Happy Veteran's Day" and he doesn't get
all happy with you, please understand why.
