[at-l] Knee braces

Do knee braces help with pain from ARTHRITIC knees? 
If anyone has experience with this and has a brand/model 
to recommend, I'd be grateful.  

I'm due to lead a hike on New Years Day and I know that 
I'm going to be in pain if I don't get something to help.
