Mars Attacks was a wonderfully terrible movie with an all-star cast. Plus it taught you that if someone says "We come in peace. We mean you no harm," while they're shooting everyone in sight, you can pretty well ignore them. That actually seems like a good lesson to learn.

The name of the movie is "Mars Attacks."  It was a low budget Si-Fi with little to recommend it for hikers
