It don't get any better. It was 7 years ago March 23 that I started. Each year I got back and hike Amicalola to Hiawassee just to remember and to enjoy the excitement of the new class. I guess it doesn't get better mainly because I don't want it to get better.  Hopeful GAME 03  ( I had to add that )

The ~sigh~ that one heaves when the anniversary of last year's AT start date rolls around.... last year on this date I was drumming my fingers waiting for the next day, my pack ready to go and leering at me from the couch; my hiking partner (whom I ended up not hiking much with) had already left because she was doing the approach trail, which I wasn't b/c my Achilles tendons had been injured and were still iffy, so I was starting the next day from the Forest Service road and meeting up with her at the first shelter. 

The memories are consuming me.
