Sorry to hear of Sam's passing, but it sounds like he had an exceptional life. It's always tough to lose a furry friend, and very, very hard when it's a hiking companion too. But what wonderful memories you must have of the two of you on the trail. Hope those bring you comfort and help fill the empty spots.
