What a great question!  OK, I'm trying to remember just where the Eastern Continental Divide runs, and how far north might it intersect with the trail.  The New River flows to the Ohio, so I'm guessing it's one of those first few shelters north of Pearisburg, before the trail turns east.  Maybe Pine Swamp Branch?  If not that, then Rice Field, or even Doc's Knob S of P-burg.
