Awesome stories and analysis.
Been there, and froze that, myself.
ONE time, almost froze a child. You learn to watch yourself much more acutely when you have others (to which you're responsible) around you.
And RD -- to you as a fellow New Englander -- how did you (too!) fail to learn these lessons as a child? The number of times I froze enough to come in and CRY getting into the bathtub! Sheeesh!
And then there's the interesting question -- am I so much smarter today, or is it that I have A BUCKETLOAD more body fat than I used to? Hoooo boy. I'd like to say that I've learned Great Wisdom, but more likely, it's this extra backpack of custom-fitted insulation surrounding my vital parts.
Hmmmmm.
