[cdt-l] CDT Mapping Effort

Hmmm - the concept of a CDTN trail network has a lot of merit even if
it's not useful as the one true "Trail" for Federal land managers et.
al. If you mapped all the CDT alternates it makes an impressive and
byzantine network of trails, some legal, some not so. A network also
refocuses away from a single, rigidly defined trail that is next to
impossilbe to thru-hike without some variants.

I've often doodled out possible long section loop hikes along the CDT
corridor. It's an alternate to the thru-hike or to the day/weekend
approaches that fits nicely with a CDT trail network.

Maybe there should be some effort to move away from the concept of a
single trail to the concept of a trail network? CDTN instead of the CDT?
