Hello everybody!

I'm relaxing in Anaconda after a wonderful 3 weeks on the trail. I started
at the Cheif Mountain Trailhead with Disco, P.O.D., NITRO, Skittles and
Matti. We hiked Glacier together and since that time I've been out on my
own. I've also run into a fair number of sobos along the way- Frank and
Kevin in the Bob, and Remy and Heather in East Glacier preparing to start
their journey.

The weather has been fantastic after a cold rainy start in Glacier. Some
afternoon thunder showers to contend with, but most everyday is blue skies
and warm weather. There are more trail markers than I expected. I've
gotten off track a few times, but nothing serious. Its a great challenge
being out here, but plenty of fun too. Coming down the Anaconda cutoff, I
ended up in Galen instead of Warm Springs, so my road walk was a little
longer, but thats the worst of my navigational gaffes.

I'm seeing loads of elk out on the trail and saw 4 bears (1 griz) in
Glacier. The folks in the towns are sensationally nice and caring. I'm
surprised how many know what the cdt is. It's been a great trip so far, and
I'm anticipating more of the same.

I love hearing from people.

Cheers
