I just looked at the fire map and it appears to be spreading in the
direction towards Gila Hot Springs. The official route to the Black Range /
Aldo Leopold Wilderness appears to be unaffected so far.

best wishes,

Voluntary evacuations at Gila Hot Springs and Hwy 15 north of the junction
with NM 35 is closed. Doc Campbells Post may be closed as well. At some
point, a number of days back, this human caused fire might have seemed like
an opportunity to do a little clean up, absent building firelines deep in
the wilderness. Right now, probably not so much.
