Depends.

 

For a back country lake, waterway, or hot spring, nude is fine and accepted
as normal by other LD hikers. If someone doesn't like it, they don't have to
look or they can move on.

 

For a resort or other public water spot, nude is not acceptable unless
signed "clothing optional".
