[Cdt-l] New Mexico in April/May- Route

Tim, as far as I understand the route is still being discussed.  I used to
have no problem with 20 mile days but probably not on this trip.  The
starting day is no problem for me.  Stopping places may be planned according
to water spots more than mileage.  the group originally was discussing daily
mileage in the 10- 12- 14  per day range.  Or take what the day and trail
give us.  I don't know anyone in the group that is in a hurry.  

>From JD's last post I see he is leaning towards CC but I understand the CDTS
route has better water sources.  

I am flexible on the route.

Doug - Around what day are you leaving? I'm hoping to NOBO NM starting in
early April (I need to reach Cumbres Pass by about May 14th or so). I'm 61,
capable of 20 mpd, OK w/ map & compass, total idiot w/ GPS so don't carry
the latter. Have done all of CDT north of CO/NM border, in sections/chunks.
It would be good to have company, but going solo would be fine too.
