If you have a high clearance vehicle that you don't mind getting some wear and tear, you might be able to have a person, aka Trail Angel, drive you to Crazy Crook in your vehicle which would cut on your cost; they would return and park it in Lordsburg. Sam did that for me back in 2009 from Hachita. Mini Mart

Matt, good information.
I may have to buy the guide. The plan right now is two of us will each have vehicles. We will probably meet in Pie Town and see if we can leave a vehicle there, then drive down to Lordsburg and park another vehicle there, then get a shuttle out to CC.
We are two retired guys hiking the CDT together- this will help minimize the talking to ourselves, I hope. We might be able to add a 3rd person to our "group" hike. But time is running- its almost April!!!

Yogi has two brothers listed in her guide that provide shuttles to CC. They have been catering to bikers and hikers for years. They operate out of Lordsburg, and will pick you up from El Paso. Their prices are very reasonable.

With Sam no longer helping, is there a way to get down to Crazy Cook's Corner in NM?
Two of us are very interested in starting there this spring. Interesting how this trail stuff works. I just bought my NM maps back from the hiker I sold them to this summer. And yes, I have an early case of trail fever. Going for an early April start- just doing NM. I am going to try again.
