[Cdt-l] PCT Help

I got out for 6 days of hiking in the northern Colo with Medicare Pastor and
Rock Star the end of August.  Good hike.  On this hike my 90 yr old dad back
in AZ fell was just seemed to be shaken up enough that my wife thought I
should consider coming home.  So I left in Steamboat Springs.  

 

Note about Steamboat Springs.  We stayed for 3 nights at the Rabbit Ears
Motel and were in town by pure coincidence for the end of the 3rd section of
the 2013 ProChallenge  Colorado bike race.  I ended up about 50 feet from
the finish line and then got to see the start of the race the next day.
that was something to see.

 

Now, I have a son and his wife  living in southern CA.  I thought I might
look into hiking the southern section of the PCT.  I need a recommendation
or two what guide book should I get for that section?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
