I'll chime in, I'm heading out in 2 months. April 22nd and I can't wait.
I was hoping to do the Gila river part. Maybe by then the water levels are
manageable - but if not then I will pick the route that makes the most
sense at the time. I'm planning to take it slow in NM but I struggle with
going too slow, and I'm hoping not to spend too many days in town. This
should be a fun but challenging year to do any of the western trails. I'm
glad to see the reservoirs filling up but I am kind of hoping that the snow
stops accumulating already.
