[pct-l] Digital Camera with powerful zoom option?

Great input on all the camera options. Definitely going to check out the
A710 and the options of an additional focal piece. The image stabilization
might be good enough, as that review did an excellent job convincing me that
if it can capture 9 point type fairly well, photographing insects and leaf
detail, for example, might not be too difficult. I am not looking for
anything pro, but on the AT I missed capturing what would have been a killer
shot of a garden spider webbed across the entire 2' wide trail.

Thanks for the input on the rechargeable option too.  :)
