[pct-l] Mt. Whitney meeting place

An additional note; you can hike up to Lone Pine Lake from the Whitney Portal without a permit.  Beyond that point a permit and bear can are required. 

I agree with Christine, the portal area is a great place to hang out and spend an afternoon.
