Been a while since I hammocked (is that a word ?) in cold weather. That said, I do use a 20 degree bag and if memory serves correctly I froze my tukkus off. In order to be comfortable in a hammock in cold weather it's been my experience that you need some insulation on the "outside" of the hammock. The material in your sleeping bag will be compressed from your weight and the thermal transfer from outside to inside is VERY efficent !!

I have a 20 degree bag and have been planning on hiking in the Sierra
with a Hennessy Hammock... I am pretty good with cold temperatures,
but I have recently been worried about whether or not this will do. Is
a bag liner enough for use with a hammock?
