Hello to the list and all you "Oh Six'ers"

This is just a plea to you all to be extra cautious with fire this 
year......

The mountains and deserts here in Southern California are very dry this 
year.

One stray spark can touch off a conflagration. This is no exaggeration, 
really....

Keep your stoves in good working order and use them in an area where the 
duff and other flammable materials have been cleared away, as outlined 
in your California campfire permit.... You have one... don't you?

If it is very windy -please consider- no fire of any sort.

I was out hiking XC yesterday and it is more like September than March  
as far as the  condition of the brush, very very dry.
