Hi David,
I'm not going 'light' on the reading, but I am going light on the carrying.
I am bringing an MP3 player, but I've copied a bunch of books to this format
and that's how I'm using this technology. I don't need to listen to music,
but on breaks and at night, I do miss reading.

I love mystery books, so I have a bunch of Tony Hillerman books and the
complete Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit (which each book is about 10+
hours!). If you have any good mystery writer suggestions, I'm open to more,
I need them!

My partner will be downloading from NPR, my favorite show, "Wait, Wait,
Don't Tell Me" and sending me these when we exchange the memory card, plus a
couple of the books in my folder. We'll probably do this a few times through
the hiking season!
