[pct-l] The Great Oregon Mosquito Festival

Hey, it's not limited to the PCT.  I just returned from the Steens  
country in SE Oregon.  Mosquito action was intense all along the  
north end.  Only on the south side and on the  Alvord playa was there  
some relief and there one had to deal with California wildfire  
smoke.  I spent an afternoon lounging on the screened porch at the  
Hotel Diamond in Diamond, OR (pop. 5).  The screens cut down on the  
mosquito activity, but didn't eliminate it entirely.
