Yea, yea, Reinhold,

I stood beside you at ADZ last spring, spending well over 15 minutes
talking nervously to a nice looking hiker chick. In fact I joined the
conversation, so you wouldn't get attacked. When her boyfriend or husband joined us, we
both struck out - and life went on, nervously.

Bill,
It may depend on your carrier....I carried a cell phone on my JMT yo-yo
a few years ago because my wife insisted on it.
She worries about me on the trail, not about the beasts of prey, but
about the thru-hiker chicks that have been on the trail to long.
Come to think off it, I'm also more concerned about hiker chicks that
have been on the trail to long, than I am about beasts of prey.
I mean 4-5 month on the trail is a long time and they might take
advantage of me.....they make me nervous, that is why I hike looking
like a dog, so they leave me alone and go after the snappy looking dudes
instead.....it's safer this way.
Well any way, the only places I was able to connect from were Yosemite,
Red's Mdw., around Vermilion and Mt. Whitney.
I tried from every pass, to no avail.

The nervous one
