Greetings,

In planning a hike for next summer I am looking for input on hiking into the
PCT from the west side at the end of Highway 180 via either the Bubbs Creek
or Woods Creek trails in Kings Canyon N.P.

Bubbs Creek Trail is more direct and comes out at the Kearsarge Pinnacles.

Woods Creek Trail comes out in the Rae Lakes Basin. This route includes an
additional pass, Glen Pass.

We would then hike over Forrester, to Crabtree, dayhike Whitney, and return
via Junction Meadow, Colby Pass, Roaring River Ranger Station, and Avalanche
Pass to the car.

Thoughts on the conditions of these trails and passes and is Rae Lakes worth
a visit is helpful.

I haven't figured up mileage, but planning on a week of 15 mile days.

Regards,
