[pct-l] Trail Running Shoes

I believe it's the norm, not the exception for those using trail
runners or similar shoe to use them throughout, snow, slush, whatever.

If you're concerned about this, consider a pair of goretex socks.   I
suggest getting them a size larger than needed, to allow a wool sock
to fit inside.  Rocky brand goretex socks have good reviews, and mine
held up well.

Caveat: In fact, I rarely used them, just a spare pair of wool socks
might be a fine alternative, depending perhaps on the conditions in
the year that you hike.  I guess I'd bring the goretex socks along
again, even if they didn't get used all that much.
