Personally, I think more people will start backpacking, and living out of
vans, and getting back to nature, and exploring alternative living
arrangements now that the economy is in the crapper.

If you think about it, the last time there was a major economic recession in
this country was in the 1970s, and that's what happened back then.

Living on the road or trail is a lot cheaper than paying rent and bills and
all of the expenses of modern life.
