[pct-l] getting off trail at Kennedy Meadows

I'm planning on just sectioning the first 700 miles this May/June and was wondering if anyone had any experience getting off at Kennedy Meadows. I no longer have Yogi's guide, but?I think she may have mentioned a bus in the nearby town...anyway, any help someone could provide would be very useful. Thanks!
