Walker Pass in April can be very pleasant, cold at night, though. I've seen 
some outrageous flower displays that time of year, particularly on the segment 
just north of Walker Pass.

Normally, snow wouldn't be a problem along there in April. There's a 
possibility of patches in higher elevations, but in the past I've climbed 
Lamont Peak from the saddle that Chimney Peak Road crosses and not seen snow.
