[pct-l] More Good News & Bad News - Sierra snow-update

Hi gang,
Trouble is back in town from another week of skiing in the 
Sierra....that is good news for the girls, bad news for the guys.
It has been awful warm in the Sierra the last 2 weeks (50-60 degrees 
noon time temperature, at 9000 ft elevation at Mammoth Mountain), 
resulting in much melting....good news for hikers...bad news for ski 
bums like me.
However, it dumped another 16 inches on Mammoth Mountain over the week 
end to bring the base coverage back up to 11-16 feet.
So, as you can see, there is still tons of snow in that part of the 
Sierra....bad news for hikers...good news for ski bums.
