[pct-l] Recharging I-Phone on trail

The problem with charging the iPhone was probably more with the cable
than with the power source.

About a year ago, Apple decided that having power on the two
connectors used for power was not enough. Now, you have to have power
on the data pins (showing they are active or something). It seems
some "charging only cables" now drop some power to the data pins to
get around this.

If you have access to a few different type of cables, mix and match
with the power source and you can probably get around it.

For me, the hard part is remembering WHICH of my combinations work. A
quick check before putting myself in a needy situation is always a
good thing.
