Not sure this has been covered on the list yet, so please excuse this
post if it is a duplication. Amtrak is now serving Leavenworth,
Washington, which is just east of Stevens Pass. It stops just once a day
in each direction. The train is the Empire Builder, which goes from
Chicago to Seattle. The schedule is not that convenient (8 p.m. arrival
in Leavenworth coming from Seattle and 6 a.m. arrival in Leavenworth
coming from Chicago), but there is a shuttle from the station to
Stevens Pass. According to the Seattle Times:

The private shuttle has agreed to meet every train so that travelers
aren't stranded on the edge of Leavenworth (and if you get missed, the
number is 509-548-RIDE). The fare into town is $3 per person. For a
round trip to Stevens Pass Ski Area, the shuttle will cost $12.

The article doesn't say if the shuttle will run to the Pass only in the
winter, when the ski hill is open, but I'm assuming that it will run all
year.
The train station is on the outskirts and passengers will need service
even to get into Leavenworth.

Here's a link to the whole Seattle Times article.
