[pct-l] JMT alt route

I agree with the last post... if he can't get a permit that day for the Whitney Portal entry why not hike together.  You could probably both get a permit for the Horseshoe Meadows entry.  This way you can hike together from the start and hike the entire JMT together.

 

Just my thoughts.
