[pct-l] heavyweight backpacks

As a scout leader taking young scouts on trips, we leaders often carried 
rather heavy packs.  We had to carry more than our share of food, 
cooking gear, shelter, and "be prepared" gear so as not to overload 
little immature hiker bodies.  After all, we wanted them to enjoy the 
trip and come back for more.  We could use the linebacker 17 year old 
scouts to help out as well.
The same applied when we took our own small children backpacking.
