Nah. There's plenty of little sticks everywhere in the entire So Cal  
section of the PCT. I used a wood stove for part of So Cal and never  
had a problem finding wood. It doesn't take much wood in a little  
wood stove anyway. Just a few handfuls of ~2-inch sticks.
