You're quite right!  Firewalkers are the ultimate ultralighters.  They don't need a stove--they're their own stove.  They don't need water treatment equipment--they can fry bugs on the way down.  They don't need a sleeping bag--just a super-light silk sheet to keep off the chill and a tarp to keep off the rain.  The downside is that with a baseline core body temperature of 112 degrees F, Firewalkers need to eat a LOT of food!  Fortunately, they can supplement with the aforementioned snakes and squirrels--they may even be able to get away with fishing without a license, for they'll eat the evidence.  Unfortunately, Firewalkers are quite rare and you'll probably have to pay out the nose for their services.  To make things even more complicated, not all pyrokineses is the same....
